Part 1. - How to level fast with a pure INT.
A pure INT is the fastest leveler. Its fact. A pure INT does more damage, and after level 30 has a very powerful ranged magical attack called a “nuke”. In this guide, we are completely based around using these “nukes”.

Requirements
To be the fastest leveler, you will need the following.
1. Determination
2. Self-discipline
3. Experience
4. Enough gold to buy the latest weapon at each level

Basic Step by Step Guide.
Start a new character, make sure you select the BOW as your weapon. Why you ask?
Bow is the fastest levelling below level 30.

Start off grinding, (mangyangs, weasels e.t.c.). DO NOT level any masteries. Once you hit level 5, you can get your first skill and imbue.

Imbue - A magic status for your weapon that infuses the weapon with the power of an element. (My own definition).
All you need to know is it makes your attacks more powerful and last 5 seconds (at level 5).

Once at level 5, level up the masteries “Pacheon”, the bow mastery, and “Lightning”, for your imbue and speed skills. And also later, a nuke. Your build will now look like this;
http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Bu … file=32827

With this skills, grind up to level 7. Once at level 7, level up both pacheon and lightning to level 5. This gives a gap of 2. (A gap is the difference of your character level and your highest mastery level).

Now, continue to grind to level 8. WOW!!! Level 8!!! You can buy a new weapon. You probably wont have much money, assuming this is a new server, so search stalls for a nice level 8 bow. Any will do, as long as its cheaper than from the NPC.

Now you are level 8, whilst in town, buy a lot of MP and HP herbs, and run over to the Yeoha mobs out of the west gate of jangan and over the bridge. You will be able to handle the decayed yeohas as they are pure phy attack so they need to be close to attack you, and they walk VERY slow. Try to avoid the normal Yeoha’s. Keep killing these mobs until level 13.

Whilst leveling, keep the 2 gap between mastery level and character level. Keep pacheon and lightning at the same.

NOTE: While leveling with the two gap, remember to keep ugrading the anti-devil bow and the lightning imbue at every skill level. At level 29 you should have anti-devil bow maxed and the following lightning skills maxed;
Lightning Imbue - MAXED
Flow/Must Piercing Force - MAXED (use this buff all the time)
Grass walk - MAXED
Lion Shout Series - MAXED

REMEMBER: You should update your armor/garment/protector, and weapons at every degree.

As soon as you’re level 30, you get the lightning nuke and shouts, use the nuke + shout whatever you are. You can keep your bow for now, just make sure you get a spear at level 32. You want the most power with your nukes.

NOW WE CHANGE GAP! VERY IMPORTANT.
We now change to a one gap. As soon as you hit level 30, bring lightning up to level 30. Get the nuke. Now, once you hit level 31, dont level up lightning. But when you hit 32, bring lightning up to level 31. Then at level 33, bring lightning up to 32… So on and so forth. Keep a one gap ALL THE WAY FROM NOW ON.

AT LEVEL 30 YOUR BUILD SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS!

NOTE: The fastest way to level is to kill the highest mob that you can kill with one nuke and one shout. Even if it is lower level that you.

Final Step
Now, grind all the way to level 72, only leveling lightning, all skills except phantom walk and the concentration series. Use a spear, right until the end. Once at level 72, get skills to level 71. Now, we can start to create your build. Obviously after some pwnage at PVP, as everyone will be 30 levels lower than you haha. Since you will be pretty much the only person in Taklamakan, you go to whichever mobs you can handle, and start to create a 9 gap. Once at level 80, you will have that 9 gap. Just grind until you have enough skill points for your build. I suggest using this calculator as it includes updated skills (such as mana shield).

MY ADVICE TO YOU
As a pure int, you will have low defense, so i advise you take sword/shield as your build. But obviously, a spear can also survive with the mana shield, but yet again, sword and shield is much better at surviving and tanks better with mana shield.

Your build can be whatever you like, but i suggest one of the following.

Heuksal - 80
Ice - 80
Lightning - 80
Fire - 60

Bicheon - 80
Heuksal - 60
Lightning - 80
Ice - 80

Bicheon - 80
Lightning - 80
Ice - 80
Fire - 60

For the red build, this is pure int spear. Get all Lightning skills. Get all fire skills. Only get the ice passive and cold armor in ice.
Get all heuksal skills except the following;
First series (Wolf bite)
The dancing demon/heuskal spear series
The chains
The spear throw.

For the blue build, this is sword and shield. Get all Lightning skills. Get all fire skills. Only get the ice passive and cold armor in ice.
Get all skills in bicheon except the following;
The First Series
The Chains
Blade Force/Soul Cut Blade
Specials (Snake Sword Dance)

For the brown build, this is sword and shield.Get all Lightning skills. Get all fire skills. Only get the ice passive and cold armor in ice.
Get all bicheon skills except the following;
The First Series
The Chains
Blade Force/Soul Cut Blade
Specials (Snake Sword Dance)

MAIN POINT - Do not create your build until you have enough skill points.

Part 2. How to level fast with a STR character
This is a lot harder. A STR build gets half its power from weapon skills and half from the imbue. This makes it difficult as a 1 gap is not sufficient to have enough skill points to level up two masteries.

Unfortunately, i do not have enough experience to give a fool proof guide with STR characters. But here is what i can tell you.

Requirements
1. A LOT of determination
2. Lots of time

Information i can offer
Fire imbue is necessary for a strength build to do a lot of damage. But you will also need lightning for the speed buffs.
So here is an alternative. Use drug of wind until you are level 52, and create a 9 gap at that level. By this time, you should have farmed a lot of gold, and maybe you can buy an SoX glaive and farm penons to get your necessary SP. STR builds have other advantages than fast leveling.

Part 3. Questions And Answers

Q: How much does it cost to delevel pacheon? And when should i do it?
A: I’m not certain how much it wil cost, but an approximate guess is around 20-30K per skill? With curst hearts obviously.
At level 70-80, a day of grinding can earn you over a million, and so i’d suggest, only delevel when you have to. I suggest when SP farming at level 70-80, just have the curst hearts quest and collect the number necessary.

Q: How many curst hearts will it take to delevel pacheon?
A: 40. As long as you follow this guide perfectly. Look here at what pacheon should include;
http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Bu … file=32825

Q: Should i do the quests?
A: Not all of them. Check the rewards, and only do the quests with SP rewards as well as exp. Otherwise you will not have enough SP to level. IF you decide to do a quest with no SP reward, build up a bigger gap until it regulates itself.
E.G: IF you do a quest that gives you 5% exp, work out what 5% of the SP gained in that level was, and make sure you earn it back with a 2 gap the next level.

Q:
A:

Part 4. Edit Log
19/8 ~ Added a change to the gap (keeping 2 gap up till level 30).
19/8 ~ Answered the question about quests.

Edited by : Me ( Celeste ) & Roxane ( AuroraAngel )

Q : Why is this guide somewhat different from the original?
A : These are the things I did in order to make this guide better.
- Removed some of informations due to un-importancy
- Added some more information based on my experience & knowledge
- Grammar correction
- Re-arranged sentences for better understanding

Q : May I contribute information to this guide?
A : Definately.

[ Starter Guide & Leveling Guide ]
For level 1-20 characters only.

The Starter Guide

These are just general tips / advice.
Note by AuroraAngel : It also depends on what your character use as a weapon. To be more specific, certain weapons have higher magic damage, and some has higher physical damage. My character is a bow user, so therefore, it has lower magic & physical damage. The good thing about equipping a bow : long-ranged attack.

Skills

This is very important. When you start your character, make sure you don’t put any points towards your skills (shortcut key S) until level 6.

You can use your Weapon abilities/Qi spells at level 5, so it might be tempting for you to add the skill points. Just wait it out, bash some Gyos, use N to sit and rest up and read over the abilities of your future skills (by pressing S). Hover your mouse over the skill icon to see the skill description.
Note by me : It really doesn’t matter. Everything depends on you. You don’t have to follow what the author of this guide tells you to do.

Start Quests

There are quests that is provided from the very first level. Don’t start them until you reach at least level 3, because it will be harder for you to do the quest if you try to do it at level 1. Run out a gate and wack Mangyangs.

You should’ve picked up enough gold/items to pay for 1 ring, earrings, necklace and hat (as well as a shield if necessary, which would depend on what weapon you use). Some people might advise you to avoid all the quests, but I’d strongly suggest you to do them.
Note by me : By doing the quest, It’ll give you fair amount of XP, HP & MP herbs, money, etc. Very useful, don’t you think ?

Character Points

Every level, you gain 3 points to distribute into Power/ Mental. It doesn’t matter whether you want to go physical or mental for the first levels (1-5), so just pump your Power. You may have been told to pump Mental only by others, but if you want to use a mental build, you’ll eventually need to put some Power points in the higher levels anyway.

A little Power pays big early, and fades easily into mental build later on, so pump mental power at level 6 and above if you feel that it’s necessary.
[/i]Note by me : You could also do 2 Power & 1 Mental everytime you level. It all depends on you though.[/i]

Items

Look closely at item stats, compare them to the values of the items you’ve currently got - two items that sell for the same price on the NPC can be different in stats.

Blue item = magic item. They generally cost more.
I’m sure theres more, but this will do for now.
Note by me : Also, be aware of player shops that sell overpriced items. Ask people around you for information regarding the average price of the item you’re interested in before buying it.

The leveling guide

Quick reference : If the text of an enemy name is orange, it means that you are not ready to defeat this kind of enemy yet ( or harder to kill ). If the text is blue, you can easily defeat the enemy. If the color is white, you are evenly matched with the enemy.

This guide of each monster will contain the recommendation level of your character to attack them.

[[[ Level 1~2 ]]]

Straw Doll Level 1

You will eventually get the feel of how to train and combat effectively after defeating straw dolls. To attack a monster, use your mouse and select the target by left clicking it.

[[[ Level 1~4 ]]]

After you’ve reached level 2 or higher, you must defeat other monsters to obtain even more experience points. Level 1 players can defeat these monsters to get a head start on leveling quicker.

Small-Eye Orge Level 2
Big-Eye Orge Level 3

After a monster is defeated, items will be drop such as gold, weapon, armor, etc. Make sure you grab every item that the monsters drop. Use the hotkey ‘G’ to grab items.
Note by me : And money that people didn’t pick up off the ground =P

[[[ Level 4~6 ]]]

By the time you’ve reached level 5, use your skill points to obtain new skill attacks and spells. Use wisely, make sure the skill build you do is satisfying to your taste.
Note by me : You could still do a skill reset by doing the level 20 quest

Old Gyo Level 4
Gyo Level 5~6, Auto-attack
Water Ghost Slave Level 5~7, Poison

Certain enemies of different types could be a ” champion “. These champions are larger and have different patterns of colors and slightly more difficult, because of their increased attack power, defense, and hit points.
Note by me : They are also aggresive, which means they auto attack you.

[[[ Level 6~8 ]]]

Leveling now takes patience… Take a rest from training and do some quests at this point. You’ll eventually earn additional experience points and as well items during a quest.

Water Ghost Level 6~7, Auto-attack and Poison
Broken Stone Lion Ghost Level 6~8, Auto-attack
Grave Stone Spirit Level 6~7, Long range attack and a Magic user

[[[ Level 9~10 ]]]

Training now is more serious than before. The enemies are much more difficult since they attack you automatically. It is recommended that you join in a party.
Note by me : And make sure you have plenty of potions with you

Lion Ghost Stone Level 8~12, Auto-attack
Grave Stone Mystery Level 8~10, Auto-attack, long range attack, and a magic user
Old Tree Spirit Level 8~11
Tree Spirit Level 9~11, Auto-attack, long range attack, and a magic user

Optional :
If training is getting boring to you, buy a cape and PK! Also, you can finally purchase a horse! Buy one at the Chang’An stable, and the scroll will cost 1200 gold.
Note by me : Horses are usable for only one time. Sucks huh? you have to keep buying the scrolls

[[[ Level 11~13 ]]]

Make sure that your weapon and armor are updated close to your current level. Level up those skills and purchase potions. At this point of training, it’ll be more intense than before.

Bandit Subordinate Level 10~12
Bandit Archer Level 10~13, Auto-attack and long range attack
Young Tiger Level 10~14

What the hell are those huge monsters?!
Their Giants! They are huge and powerful. They have stronger attack power and defense with lots and lots of hit points. Defeating a Giant gives you over a thousand of experience points as well as large sum of golds and item drops. The monsters are : Bandit Archer Giant, Tiger Giant, Bandit Giant, and the White Tiger Giant.

[[[ Level 14~16 ]]]

Tiger Level 13~17, Auto-attack
Bandit Archer (Stronghold) Level 14~17, Auto-attack and long ranged attack
Bandit (Stronghold) Level 15~18, Auto-attack
Can’t seem to find a spot to train at? Too many players? Is that player doing KS?

Solution : Try to find a suitable spot to train at. Yes I know… too many damn players, but there are always blank spots forto train at

[[[ Level 17~20 ]]]

I highly recommend everyone to party so it’ll be easier for you guys to level. Make sure that your weapons and armor and updated with your current level.

Black Tiger Level 17~19, Auto-attack, long ranged attack of magic use
White Tiger Level 17~20, Auto-attack
Chakji Worker Level 17~21
Chakji Earth Worker Level 19~22, Auto-attack

You’ve reached level 20. Finally, you can choose the jobs of being a merchant, hunter, and thief. You can also PK other players who are level 20. You can purchase the job equipment in Chang’An by going to the guild and purchase it for 10,000 gold.

[[[ BOSS ]]]

Tiger Girl Level 18, Location: Hohnesyl Mountain

Don’t bother trying to search for her, people usually find her first before you. If you saw her by any chance, make sure that you bring LOTS of potion.

This means a lot of freedom in weapon and stat/skill choices, which sometimes means you get a lot of freedom in screwing up your character build
So here’s a little guide to different build types you can follow. Of course this is only a guide. You’re always free to experiment.

Legend

I will be using the folllowing words in the guide with the presumption that you know what I mean.

STR build - majority of player’s stat points are put into STR

INT build - majority of player’s statpoints are put into INT

all STR - all of player’s stat points are put into STR

all INT - all of player’s stat points are put into INT

2:1 - player’s stat points are put approx. twice as much in STR than INT

1:2 - player’s stat points are put approx. twice as much in INT than STR

1:1 - player’s stat points are put approx. equally into STR and INT (aka Balance build)
—

Sword - One handed magical weapon

Blade - One handed physical weapon (previously known as Dagger)

Spear - Two handed magical weapon

Glaive - Two handed physical weapon (preiouvsly known as Big Sword)
—

Weapon skills - skills in one of three weapon skill trees (Swordmanship, Spearmanship, Bowmanship)

Force skills - skills in one of four force skill trees (Cold, Lightening, Fire, Heal)

Mastery Level - level of a certain skill tree, i.e. Cold Mastery lvl 12

Stat Points: Basics

When a player levels, s/he is given 5 stat points.
2 of those stat points are automatically allocated for you, 1 to STR and 1 to INT.
3 remaining need to be allocated by the player.

A stat point to STR will add HP, Physical Attack, Physical Defense
A stat point to INT will add MP, Magical Attack, Magical Defense

Builds: Basics

For obvious reasons, Blade and Glaive users usually do STR builds.
Sword and Spear users do INT builds.
Bows can go both ways.
You can also do a 1:1 build.. more on that below.

STR builds:
Your main damage skills will be your Weapon skills.
You will have a harder time levelling than INT builds.

In my opinion, STR builds should put close to all their stat points into STR.
The 2:1 build is not recommended.
Benefits for adding to your INT aren’t worth the stuff you’ll be losing for not putting it in STR.

When learning Force skills, particularly the first row ones that add damage to your weapon, it is usually best to keep them at lvl1 or 2, not higher, for better MP efficiency.

Also, consider levelling Bowmanship to lvl10 even if you are not a Bow user. The Bowmanship tree has an accuracy passive skill at lvl10 which is beneficial to all STR builds. The physical attack passive in Spearmanship is also obviously beneficial to all but it is only 1% at level 1 so it is up to you to determine if it’s worth it

If run speed is important to you level Lightning to lvl12 for Wind Walk skill lvl1

INT builds:
Your main damage skills will be your Force skills.
You will level fast, but will find it hard to beat the high HP of STR builds in PVP later on.

All INT and 1:2 builds are both viable choices. All INT build will do more damage but 1:2 build has more survivability.

Balance (1:1) builds:

Balancing INT and STR is not impossible, but unless you spend a lot of time farming SP the build will be difficult to do well. The benefit of concentrating on STR or INT is that STR builds can concentrate their SP on Weapon skills and INT builds can concentratet their SP on Force skills. As a Balance build you will have to put as much SP as you can into both in order to make the best of both worlds.

Guides to Common Builds

Blade - STR Build

Stat points: All STR

Skill Trees:

Swordmanship: Concentrate on Chain Sword Attack series, Blade Force series and the Shield Protection passive. Hidden Blade and Killing Heaven series aren’t really used in PvE but good to have for PvP. Shield Technique is very good for defensive players.

Force Skills: I suggest Cold or Fire. Cold for defensive builds and Fire for offensive.
Cold: Cold Force series, Frost Nova series, and Cold Armor passive.
Fire: Fire Force series, Flame Body series and Flame Devil passive.

Sword - INT Build

Stat points: All INT or 1:2

Skill Trees:

Swordmanship: Concentrate on Chain Sword series and Shield Protection passive. A little bit of Hidden Blade and Killing Heaven also suggested.

Force Skills: For PvP go Cold + Lightning. For PvE go Fire + Lightning.
Lightning: Wind Walk series, Lion Shout series, Heaven’s Force passive
Cold: Cold Force series, Frost Guard series, Cold Armor passive, maybe one Frost Nova and Snow Storm series
Fire: Fire Force series, Fire Protection series and Flame Wave series

Glaive - STR Build

Stat points: All STR

Skill Trees:

Spearmanship: Concentrate on Soul Departs series, Chain Spear series, Cheolsam HP passive. Flying Dragon series just to Flying Dragon-Fly lvl1. Ghost Spear series optional. Fanning Spear optional for those that do a lot of AoE hunting.

Force Skills: Fire and Cold both have their advantages.
Fire: Fire Force series, Flame Body series and Flame Devil passive
Cold: Cold Force series, Frost Nova series, and Cold Armor passive
Also spend some SP on Lightning and Heal for their passives. Both are learned at mastery lvl10.

Spear - INT Build

Stat points: All INT recommended since Spearmanship gives HP bonus passive. 1:2 ok too.

Skill Trees:

Spearmanship: Cheolsam passive, Chain Spear is good to learn.

Force Skills: Lightning highly suggested. Thunder Force series, Wind Walk series, Lion Shout series, Thunderbolt series, Heaven’s Force passive.

Bow - STR Build

Stat points: All STR

Skill Trees:

Bowmanship: Concentrate on Anti Devil series, Arrow Combo series, White hawk and Blue Hawk, Break Heaven series, Mind concentration passive.

Force Skills: Cold highly suggested. Cold force series, Frost Guard and Cold Armor. lvl1 Frost Nova-Wind can save your ass in bad situations.

SP Farming

SRO skill system is such that SP is nearly as important as XP in developing your character. As you level higher in the game, if you do not slow down XP to farm SP, you will find that your skill masteries aren’t able to keep up with your character’s levels.

This comes down to a matter of choice.
You don’t HAVE to farm SP at lower levels.
You will be farming SP at some point, however, to be able to level all the masteries and skills you want.
If you farm SP at low levels, it means you will have enough SP to learn most of the skills you want at every step of the way.
If you wait til your char is max level to farm SP, it means your char will be sort of gimp all the way there, but you will get there faster.

The rule of thumb in farming SP is this:
Greater the difference between character level and mastery level, greater your SP gain in relation to XP.

For example, lets say you’re a Blade user. If your character level is 18 and your Swordmanship mastery level is 18, you will get much more XP than SP per mob. (I forget the exact ratio.. I’ll update if I come across it.) On the other hand, if your character level is 18 but your Swordmanship mastery level is 9, you will get much more SP than XP per mob.

(Note the following:
1. The highest amount of SP per XP you can get maxes out at a char. lvl / mastery lvl difference of 9
2. The lvl difference applies to which ever is the highest mastery level of all the skill trees. If your Swordmanship is lvl9 and Fire is lvl10, your highest mastery level is 10. )

If you want to never have to worry about being short of SP ever again, Korean guides reccommend you farm atleast 20,000 SP in all. This is an extreme that I don’t suggest for most of you to follow unless you’re seriously hardcore.

I’ve been farming SP since around level 17 and I plan to do so until I’m 20 because the Bandit outpost is a great place to farm. I’m now level 19 and I only have around 2500 SP… you can imagine what getting 20,000 would be like. :shudder:

Finally

This guide was based very much on a Korean post on Playforum which seemed to sum all other posts I’ve read pretty well.
v1.2 - 19th Nov updated quest, added comments from members
v1.4 - 22nd Nov filled up all missing rewards

[Introduction]
The fastest way to train in SilkRoad Online is by completing its quest. The rewards are always worth the mindless killing or hunting item, but hey since you will be grinding anyway it wouldn`t make much difference right? However, the current quest guide on the site is unadequate as it only serves those that know it rather then newbies.

Having said that, i shall proceed with the quest walkthrough.

Note: Some of the quest names are made up by me because of the horrible translation, or the lack of knowledge. But the npcs will still be there, so you will be able to find it.

[Note]
exp = Experience Points
spx = Skill point experience, not number of SP gotten.
gold= Gold.

Added this to clarify some questions that has been surfaced. changed all sp to spx because it has causing confusion with skill points rewarded and skill experience points rewarded.

[Map of Jangan]

All Npc names, and location will be following this map.
Should you have any difficulty finding a particular NPC, refer to this map.
I have numbered the NPCs for easier searching.
Also, i did not create this map, so special thank to WarForGe for this.

Map of TungHun

[Level 3 Quest]
Quest name: Vanished Child
NPC: Rich Village Hwang Nodu [13]
Quest: Hunt Big Eye Ghost for Child’s shoes and then return to Old man
Reward: 150exp、190gold

Note: A very simple quest, sometimes when you are lucky you can get it on the first kill and sometimes it takes ages.

Quest name: Weasel Sweep
Location: Eastern Gate Soldier Iyang
Quest: Kill 40 Weasel
Reward: 760exp、400gold

Note: Despite them saying to hunt Weasels, you can hunt Old Weasels as well. They are easier to kill and do lesser damage to you at level 3. So hunt them instead.

[Level 5 Quest]
Quest name: Concern of Yangikji
Location: Drug store Yangikji [16]
Quest: Kill 50 Water ghosts
Reward: 1500exp. HP Herbs x11

Note: At level 5, Water Ghost might be too difficult for you, so hunt Water Ghost slaves instead. They are weaker and you still get your quest log filled.

Quest name: Concern of Yanikji 2
Location: Drug store Yangikji [16]
Quest: Hunt Water Ghost Poison
Reward: 6600exp. 4000spx. Mp Herbs x50

Note: I forgot which level is that, but it will only be unlocked once you complete the first one. Anyone who knows this quest level please let me know.

[Level 7 Quest]
Quest name: Stone Ghost sweep
Location: East Gate Soldier Sanggwannam [12]
Quest: Kill 40 Stone Ghosts
Reward: 1800exp、750gold

Note: Pretty straight forward, just make sure you bring enough pots/herbs because they are hostile.

Quest name: Tomb Stone Scriptures
Location: Jaeunsa Temple Jeonghye [9]
Quest: Kill Tome Stone Ghost and collect 8 scriptures and return to Monk.
Reward: 4800exp、2100gold. Red Horse Scroll x1

Note: While Hunting at the Chin Tomb for Stone Ghosts, you can also kill Tomb Stone Ghost for the scriptures. Chances are that you will complete killing 40 Stone Ghost first, so head south to the Tomb where it`s infested with Tomb Stones.

Note2: For Tomb Stone Scriptures Quest, for every scripture tablet you acquire, you get 100 exp for each and 125 gold for each so the amount of gold and exp depends on how many tablets you get. For the completion part of the 8th scripture piece you get 10500exp and 3800 gold. [special thanks to AmazeMe]

[Level 8 Quest]
Quest name: Exorcism of Tree Spirits
Location: Exorcist Home
Quest: Collect 30 black blood of Yeoha
Reward: Lvl 10 weapon of what you are holding

Note: Killing Rotten Yeoha will also drop the black blood. Doing this quest IMO is useless because it doesn`t give experience. However, you have to train here anyway so just do it.

Quest name: Purification of the Soil Quest
Location: Exorcist Home
Quest: He will ask you to find Buddhist Monk at Jangan
Reward: 12700exp. 4500spx. 4000gold

Note: I never done this quest before, so i`m not sure. However this has been provided by AmazeMe, so i`m adding it here first.

[Level 9 Quest]
Quest name: Adventurer’s stone
Location: Specialities Shop Adventurer Flora [18]
Quest: Collect 20 Adventure Stone from Bronze Ghost
Reward: 2500spx. 4000gold. Adventurer’s Shift Scroll [Increases movespeed by 20% for 1hr] x1

Note: Another easy quest. I never tried hunting Stone Ghost for it though, i went straight for Bronze Ghost instead.

[Level 10 Quest]
Quest name: Bandit Archers
Location: Military camp Juho [5]
Quest: Kill 50 bandit archers
Reward: 3800exp、Mp Herbs x 22

[Level 12 Quest]
Quest name: Bandit’s Operational Maps
Location: Military camp Juho [5]
Quest: Hunt for 20 Operational Maps from Bandit Archers
Reward: 28200exp, 1000spx, 8300gold

Note: Your first most annoying quest. The operational maps drops are like 1 in 10 and there are alot of people hunting Bandit Archers. But the experience is worth it. I just can`t remember how much. Also note, this quest will only be unlocked if you complete the killing

Note2: apparently on the quest details it says 282k exp. but it has been reported that you only get 28.2k exp. gah, suddenly it`s not worth doing.

of 50 Bandit Archers.

[Level 13 Quest]
Quest name: Bandits sweep
Location: Military camp Leebeakryong [4]
Quest: Kill 50 bandits
Reward: 5800exp. Vigor herbs x20

Note: Must complete Bandit Archer quest to do this. Also, you may kill Bandit Subordinates for this quest.

Quest name: Tiger’s Grinding Tooth
Location: Specialties Shop Jodaesan [18]
Quest: Hunt for 50 Tiger Grinding Tooth
Reward: 15300exp. 5000spx. 4000 gold

Quest name: Tiger Hunting Competition x3
Location: Military camp Sonhyeon [3]
[1st time] Kill 20 Tigers, 20 Young Tigers and 1 Tiger Champion
[2nd time] Kill 30 Tigers, 30 Young Tigers and 3 Champions
[3rd time] kill 50 Tigers, 50 Young Tigers and 5 Champions
Reward: 33000exp. 9550spx. 3600gold. 1 Tiger Scroll. [After completing 3 times]

Note: Your first repeatable quest. This quest can be done 3 times. Because of a bug, you will not be able to see it on the 2nd and 3rd time. But just keep hunting until your quest turns bar orange. 2nd and 3rd time requires more tigers to be killed. The last time will bag you the Tiger Scroll [Increase Damage by 20% for 1hr]

[Level 16 Quest]
Quest name: Cheolhyeon’s anger
Location: Blacksmith Cheolhyeon [20]
Quest: Kill 200 Bandit Bowman
Reward: 26500exp. 10000spx. Transexual Tranform Item x1

Note: Your first mindless none-stop grinding quest. what more can i say? And a reward to allow you to change your sex. Hahaha.

Quest name: Recover stolen sword
Location: Hunter Guild Gwakwi [6]
Quest: Hunt Bandits to get back stolen sword
Reward: 18800exp. 5000spx. 5050gold

Note: According to Walter Sobchak, he says that the drop is entirely random. u might get it on your first try, or u might only get it 3 hours later. A hint from him, “Best(ofc imo) place to grind is Bijeoks den eastern gate”

Quest name: White tiger sweep
Location: Stable Macheonri [22]
Quest: Kill 40 White tigers
Reward: 5000exp、1700gold

Note: Simple and easy quest. This quest can be repeated twice.

[Level 17 Quest]
Quest name: Herb Delivery
Location: Drug Store Yangikji [16]
Quest: Deliever Herbs to the Npc at the Western Docks
Reward: 14400exp. 3600spx. 3800 gold

Note: Very easy quest with a lot of reward. Just get a horse and ride your way there. One note, you cannot use a teleport scroll while this quest is active in your quest log.

Quest name: Herb Delivery 2
Quest: Deliver Herbs to both Western and Eastern Docks Npcs.
Reward: 18000exp. 4500spx. MP Pots x 125

Note: Stupid old man forgot to send this again, and sends you out once more for more experience and 125 MP pots. Senile bastard. And once again, no scroll allowed.

Quest name: Black Tiger’s claw:
Location: Specialities Shop Adventurer Flora [18]
Quest: Collect 60 claws from Black Tigers
Reward: 60000exp. 15000spx. 15700gold

Note: Even though it says Black Tiger’s fur, the item drop is claw. Just some stupid error, but don`t worry you`ll live.

[Level 18 Quest]
Quest name: White Tiger’s Fur x3
Location: Specialties Shop Jodaesan [18]
Quest: Hunt 100 White Tiger Skin
Reward: 84600exp. 20000spx. 10900gold [After completing it 3 times]

Note: Despite the quest log saying that this quest can be done twice, it actually can be
done thrice. Third time requires 200 skin instead of 100.

[Level 19 Quest]
Quest name: Chakji Eye

This is a Mage (Nuker) build, for the top 3 most effective ones’ ingame.

First off I am going based on the skills for the builds and not the weapon, but to generalize, I would suggest Sword + shield to be the main weapon and always have a spear on the side , for those times you know you’ll never get hit. Garment till 50+ then switch to armor or 40+ if you struggle. Hybrid go 2:1 Int Str and use protector.

Before the Force skills, we need the basics,

Bichoen:

In Bichoen, you need to only get from as little as lvl 5 mastery to as much as lvl 20 in this skill tree. Below is what I suggest you get if you go as far as lvl20. On average just get lvl 10 Bichoen mastery, but if you feel your lacking, go the full amount.

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 465
Mastery Sum: 20/300
Required Skill Experience: 186000
Experience / Skill XP: 7.56172043011**

You can see the extra skills for going max 20, are the knockdown combo, plus getting the extra shield passive is good. I only suggest getting level one in any of these skills, since they only support your build till your magic skills takeover at later levels.

Now for the 3 types of skill builds you could go:

There are only 3 Force skill trees with an effective offense and defense for mages, though some get the Healing series, I wouldn’t suggest it unless you farm more on the side.

Fire/Light:

All mage builds need light so the only difference really is the nuke. With Fire/light you have Fire as your main nukes, with a supplement of Light to assist you.

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 41220
Mastery Sum: 60/300
Required Skill Experience: 16488000
Experience / Skill XP: 17.4711618147**

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 2585
Mastery Sum: 30/300
Required Skill Experience: 1034000
Experience / Skill XP: 278.592375242**

In this build you have fire nukes and the fire force as your main attacks. Then a compliment of level 1 shock lion and level 1 thunder bolt as finishers or quickes. I know level 30 in light might seem low, but less support in the light skill tree is made up with the power from your fire nukes and the sp farmed is much less then it could be. I suggest upping the light skill tree later on or farm more in the beginning.

Light:

This is just every light skill and I suggest getting lvl 20 in bichoen or even higher if you go pure light, since it’s fairly simple to get the hang of and a good build for beginners. This is a fun build and the one I am going as well, I would have gone fire, but Light and Fire don’t look good together (lol).

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 45839
Mastery Sum: 60/300
Required Skill Experience: 18335600
Experience / Skill XP: 15.7106675538**

Cold/Light:

This is probably the “coolest” looking build and the best combo. Sword users get plenty of close range hits and with the light combo, you ensure it will never be a bother to you. I would suggest getting more in Cold later on, but this would be fine for a while.

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 2846
Mastery Sum: 30/300
Required Skill Experience: 1138400
Experience / Skill XP: 8.31721275474**

**SP Requirements:
Required Skillpoints: 45839
Mastery Sum: 60/300
Required Skill Experience: 18335600
Experience / Skill XP: 15.7106675538**

Sweet, simple, and to the point – The way guides should be
_________________________________________________________

I tried a different format for my guide this time and I hope this works. I tried to be as accurate as possible without giving too much of my own advice, so people can use it as reference and not have to stick to it, word for word.
